It has been a while since I’ve participated in a Teapot Tuesday Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.com, so I figured it was time to jump back in!  This week’s  challenge  is to make a masculine card for a gentleman in Lakeville MA.  He likes fishing, and antique cars & trucks.

Here is my card:

I used an Impression Obsession stamp that is, in my opinion, an artistic rendering of a grill from an antique roadster with just a hint of Steampunk. I have fallen in love with Stampin Up’s color, Blueberry Bushel, so I used that color ink and cardstock to make a monochromatic card.  I used Stampin Up’s Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder for the background texture. I die cut the sentiment three times & stacked them together to add more dimension. I’m not sure if you can see it, but I used Glossy Accents on the headlight and grill emblems.

This is not a blog hop sponsored by a company but rather is one in honor of our good friend (and Sista Ho!), Gabby! We wanted to do this blog hop to show her how much we care about her. We are sending her lots of "inky hugs" today.

Gabby is on a lot of design teams and sure is one talented lady! I am in awe of her talent and am always thrilled beyond measure when I get one of her cards in a swap! She loves black and white cards, so those are the main colors of my card. I threw in a bit of Rich Razzleberry (a current Stampin" Up! In color) to break up the monotony.



The recipe for this card is simple:

• Stamps: Laundry Line flourish frame, Stampin' Up Three Little Words
• Cardstock: Stamin Up Whisper White, Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry
• Ink: Rich Razzleberry
• Accessories: flat back ahdesive blings from Joanns, black velet ribbon, butterfly embosslet from Stampin' Up, sizzix embossing folder, cuttlebug
