More card swap cards

This is my card for mammachicken's Ribbon and Glitter swap:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=338341

It was a fun card to make, but I have to say the ribbon looks much nicer IRL. This pic doesn't show the linen bg, either.

Recipe:

CA: River Rock, Black, White
Ink: River Rock, Basic Black
Stamps: Best Blossom, Linen BG
Accessories: Black stickes, Sakuraclear gelly roll pen, Fiskars threading water punch, no-name brand black ribbon

This card was CASE'd from a card my demo made at our hostess club meeting this past week. The keytag punch is actually punched out on the front of the card & the tag is glued to the inside. I made this card for the Variety Card swap: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=336796

Recipe:

CS: Bayou Blue, White, Ginger Blossom DSP, Groovy Guava
Ink: Craft White, Purely Pomegranite, Groovy Guava
Stamps: Embrace Life, no-name brand "thanks" stamp
Accessories: Keytag punch, brown satin ribbon, gold embossing powder, dew drops
Technique: Watercoloring

RAK and swap cards

Thank you!

When I got home yesterday after spending the afternoon visiting with my son and his family, I found this card waiting for me. Claudia4 from Splitcoaststampers.com sent it to me as RAK. I was thrilled to receive it and I wanted to share it. Receiving the card from Claudia was the perfect ending to a wonderful day!

It is the inspiration for the next card shown.

I was having a difficult time coming up with a card for the DKOS #18 Cuttlebug Happy Birthday swap: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=321738&highlight=DKOS

One of the requirements for this card is to cuttlebug two different layers. I tried a couple different things but nothing was working and I was getting pretty frustrated. I had Claudia's card on the table beside me and was gazing at it when an idea formed. And it worked!

I used the Happy Birthday embossing folder for the top layer. The card was finished off with chocolate chop satin ribbon and stickles in the center of the flowers.

CS: Purely Pomegranite, Chocolate Chip, White
Ink: Purely Pomegranite (on the Birds and Swirls embossing folder)
Accessories: Chocolate Chip satin ribbon, Happy Birthday and Birds & Swirls embossing folders, stickles

This last card is a 3x3 that I made for a Thank You Swap on Splitcoaststampers: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=336326

I had fun with this card and it came together nicely. I wish they all did! lol

CS: Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip. Ginger Blossom DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Stamps: Polka Dots and Paisley, non-SU! acrylic sentiment stamp, brad, prima-type flowers, Threading Water border punch by Fiskars

For my co-worker

One of my co-workers little boy fell into a kiddie pool yesterday and is now in the pediatric ICU at Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital. He is only 2 years old. The last update I had was that the boy was awake, responsive, and moving his arms. That is a good sign! Please pray for my co-worker, his son, and his entire family.
I made this card for my co-worker and his wife. There are two blank inserts so that everyone at work can sign the card. (I think I need to make my watermark a bit smaller!)
The paper is SU! Afternoon Delight double-sided DSP and the stamps are from Heidi Grace. The embellie is from Gina K Designs. I used the "double pocket" technique seen here: http://jarfullofjoy.blogspot.com/2008/04/double-pocket-card-tutorial.html This technique was yesterday's challenge on SCS.

Swap Cards

I've been pretty busy since my last post, working on cards for various swaps at SCS.

This first pic is my card for the "Cards With Charm" swap, http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=332932

I tore a page out of a novel and "aged" it by brayering it with brown ink. The stamp set is Merci; the cardstock is Always Artichoke, and the ink is stazon black and rose red (watercolored). I outlined the image with a Sakura clear glitter gelly pen.

This next card is what I made for the No Words swap, http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=335749

This was a quick and easy card in which I used the leftover kits from the last SCS Central Florida get together. I added a couple more layers of cardstock and brads, and I used the glitter gel pen again on the dark blue flowers.

This is what I designed for the Flap Fold card swap, http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=335860

This one was a bit of a challenge for me as I'd never made a flap fold card before. But once I got the hang of the scored lines placement, this card came together like a dream! I used Purely Pomegranite and Rose Red cardstock; the striped paper is something I picked up at either Michaels or AC Moore. The stamp set if Doodle This; the inks used were stazon black, whisper white (craft), Purely Pomegranite, and Ballet Blue.
